We got back to the home on the evening of Friday, February 11th. On February 12th we were hard at it already. We had prayed for a quick transition back into life here, and that is what we got! Saturdays are Sebastian and Oralia's day off, so by 7:00 a.m. Vickie was up helping bathe the little ones. Saturday night we started our 3 nights in a row of taking a shift of watching the baby. We only had her one night before we left in November. Her name is Alicia and she is 3-1/2 months old. She is a doll! She is still getting up a couple of times during the night, so it is nice to share the burden with somebody for the night feedings.
We also learned when we got here that there were 2 new children and a desperate need for additional beds. A couple of them were sharing a bed. So Norman got started on that right away. Less than a week later the 2 new siblings were able to go back to live with their mother. But the new beds are not wasted by any means! Six year old Josefa moved from a crib to a bigger bed and 10 year old Marta and 8 year old Grisma changed from bunkbeds to regular beds. Eight year old Adriel also got a new bed. Norman is finishing up the beds today and is hoping to now get to continue working on the new playground that was started in November by a team from Rochester, NY.
I have very fond memories of you teaching me all kinds of creativity with the table saw & router back at Cadillac. It's awesome to see you using your skills for such a great cause!
